Charkha for Eid and Puja

This year Eid and Puja are about at the same time and as such the racks of Charkha have been colourfully adorned with their festive collection. The collection has been made using Joysree silk, semi dhupiyan, endy cotton, and other handloom fabrics. Bright colours such as golden, orange, maroon, red blue etc have been used along with vast use of karchupi, screen prints and sequins. For women there are shalwar kameezes, kurtas and saris of silk, muslin and half silk. For men there are slim fit panjabis and a wide range of children's wear.

Eid-ul-Azha at Banglar Mela

Banglar Mela has introduced a brand new collection for the coming Eid-ul-Azha with men's shirts, fatua, panjabi, women's shalwar kameez, fatua, kurti, saris and children's wear. The materials used include khadi, endy, cotton with blocks, batick and machine embroidery on them.  The price range is from Tk 750 to Tk 2,000 for the children's outfits. For the men's panjabi the price is between Tk 750 to Tk 850, women's shalwar kamEEz is priced from Tk 1,450 to Tk 3,500, kurti and tops from Tk 500 to Tk 1,250 and saris from Tk 600 Tk 8,500.

Fashion house Chila Kotha Shekhor has introduced their Eid and Puja collection which includes sari, shalwar kameez, tops, panjabi, men's fatua and children's wear. This season's collection has a more vibrant touch because of the two festivals falling within a very span of time. They have used local handloom cotton, tasar, silk, muslin, georgette, endy for the attires and adorned them with karchupi, sequins, block prints, vegetable dyes, screen print, machine embroidery and appliqués. Although most of the colours used are bright and vibrant, the saris especially for Puja have been designed in off white and red. The materials used for this collection are mostly silk, katan etc in vibrant colour combinations of blue, black, red, hot pink and others with touch of gold to add a festive look.
